Welcome

The Gallery of Medina encompasses two beautifully restored Victorian homes; the lovely Croft-Pelton-Happ House, circa 1885 and The Gallery’s Inn, circa 1865.

The Croft-Pelton-Happ House is an Eastlake-style Victorian which features gorgeous natural woodwork, stained glass windows, over-sized pocket doors and a decor of Neo-Classical Victorian with historic reproduction wall coverings and light fixtures true to the period.  The furnishings and antiques provide guests with an authentic feel of the 1800's.  This facility is where all of the fanciful dining events take place.  Guests to The Gallery’s Inn enjoy a full gourmet breakfast in the main dining room at a table where it has been told that Helen Keller, the Wright Brothers and Will Rogers all enjoyed food and conversation with Medina’s famed A.I. Root.  The Croft-Pelton-Happ House was restored in the 1990's by Gregory W. Happ, an attorney and his wife, Susan, after having purchased the home from his parents who owned the gracious Eastlake since the 1960's.

The cuisine at The Gallery is second to none.  All menus are planned and prepared from scratch by the Gallery staff.  The facility is small and the owners are proud that attention to every detail is noticed and appreciated by patrons.

Since the late 1990's when the full commercial kitchen, central air and other modern amenities were installed, the Gallery began hosting bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, small weddings, private dinner parties, ladies group luncheons, theme teas and dinners and business luncheons, dinners and holiday parties.  Today, however, the owners have been concentrating primarily on the needs of the guests to the Inn and have temporarily suspended these types of functions.

The now beautiful Inn was originally purchased by The Gallery of Medina in 2000 and is an Italianate Victorian home.  It required an extensive period of restoration and we are certain the home is pleased to have shed its unsightly vinyl siding, office carpet and overall state of disrepair.  The Inn’s decor is a cottage-style Victorian theme with painted woodwork, hardwood floors, white furniture and bead board accents.  The Inn offers clean, un-cluttered, yet cozy accommodations.

The Inn boasts three bedrooms on the main floor, each with a very spacious in-suite bathroom and on the second floor, a complete suite offering two bedrooms and large bath.  All rooms are personally climate-controlled with both heat and central air conditioning.  A full kitchen is available to guests for informal dining.
